Made in the USA – exciting news for the apparel industry
Great news!
We are delighted to announce the launch of a new Image Label Systems subsidiary in the US, called Image Label Systems (USA) LLC (“ILSUS”).
Based in Springfield, New Jersey, ILSUS is located just 30 minutes from New York City, one of the fashion capitals of the world.
What’s it all about?
Our aspirations to be a truly global solutions provider ramps up in the US with ILSUS, a Joint Venture partnership between the Image Label Systems group and Scott Fishman.
This is especially exciting at a time when a number of brands entering our traditional markets, either via on-line or ‘bricks and mortar’ retailing, are US based.
Our research tells us that the US consumes 20% of the world’s apparel and that US apparel brands are experiencing substantially higher international than domestic growth.
Our enthusiasm for this venture also rests on the knowledge that 50% of apparel sold in the US is sourced from countries in which we have an established footprint, with a further 12% sourced from countries where we have advanced plans for establishing a presence.
Who is Scott Fishman?
Scott has almost 25 years experience in developing and managing label and packaging programs for the apparel industry in the US.
Several years ago Scott started his own company, Advanced Packaging Solutions, and it is the successful growth of this business that forms the initial backbone of our joint venture.
The US continues to be at the forefront of global apparel demand, and we are thrilled to have a presence in this market, and to have someone of Scott’s calibre leading this new venture on our behalf.
