Fiji textile manufacturing to be showcased at Sydney expo
The Australian International Sourcing Expo 2017 is on again at the Sydney International Convention Centre.
Due to take place Tuesday 14th – Thursday 16th November, Fijian representatives of the textile industry will be there to showcase the country’s growing industry and garner new business.
The Textile, Clothing and Footwear Council
The Textile, Clothing and Footwear (TCF) Council was created to promote Fijian manufacturing, both domestically and internationally.
Offering Fijian businesses help with every aspect of the manufacturing process – from concept realisation, through to dispatch – the TCF exists to develop and encourage Fiji’s textile and clothing industry.
Fiji boasts a world-class manufacturing base in a number of different areas, particularly textiles, clothing and footwear. The “Make it in Fiji” initiative is designed for manufacturers to commit to a process of continuous improvement in all aspects of Fijian manufacturing and business practices.
The International Sourcing Expo
Designed to connect New Zealand and Australian trade buyers with a wide range of suppliers and manufacturers from around the globe, the Australian International Sourcing Expo is in its third successful year.
After a successful show last year at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, this year’s event will be held at the Sydney International Convention Centre, and with more than 500 exhibitors on display, will be the biggest yet.
With a focus on apparel, accessories and textiles, exhibitors representing key sourcing hot spots such as China, India, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong will attend the expo and showcase their respective industry’s appeal to foreign business and investment.
The Expo provides an organised way for international sourcing, learning and networking for a wide range of industry professionals from around the world.
Expo offers valuable opportunities for apparel and textiles professionals
The Expo is essential for anyone in the apparel, accessories and textiles industry.
It is not only an opportunity to meet some of the world’s most respected industry professionals, but a chance to discuss some of the larger issues facing the industry today, such as global trends and logistical challenges.
The show also provides the opportunity for visitors to collect valuable market insights and business tips, as well as comparing production capability and costs, diversifying their supply chain, and sourcing new business.
With over 500 companies attending, the Expo becomes a compelling attraction for the Australian and New Zealand industry.
With the latest in menswear, womenswear and childrenswear on display, along with footwear, accessories, home textiles, jewellery, and travel goods, the event is seen as one not to be missed by professionals in the industry.
The TCF Industry will be represented at the convention by several companies, through the Make it in Fiji initiative.
