New Zealand’s premier fashion event is back again for 2018.

New Zealand Fashion Week (NZFW) will commence Monday 27th August and finish on 2nd September and this year, will showcase some of the best the fashion world has to offer.

The event will be held at the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre, and after the success of last year’s show, this year has a lot of people excited about what’s in store.

About NZ fashion week

Now in its eighteenth year, the New Zealand Fashion week offers buyers, designers, models and guests a chance to see the coming trends for this Spring/Summer collections.

Including a series of runway shows, brand events, and special cuisine opportunities, the show is the highlight of the year for the industry.

The weekend is also home to the ‘Beauty Hub’, the one place bursting with beauty tips, fashion advice and plenty of pampering

There’s also the popular ‘Designer Pop-Up Sale’ where New Zealand’s favourite designer fashion, footwear and accessory labels go on sale for a fraction of the price.

Designers

This year has already seen some surprises with the announcement of big names and exciting new additions.

Well-known Kiwi designer Dame Trelise Cooper, who has had her designs featured in magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire, and the television series Sex and the City, will be there, promoting two back-to-back shows.

New Zealand brand Hailwood will once again join the show, with the coveted label becoming a favourite in the real Hollywood, worn on the red carpet by Lorde, Tilda Swinton, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Natalie Cantell and Paloma Faith, to name a few.

As well as these famous, established brands, the show will also see newcomers in fashion, including a new label from Edmund Hillary’s family; the Edmund Hillary Collection, a range inspired by classic styles worn on the 1953 Everest Expedition.
